This tour allows you to discover the extraordinary power of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, the largest and most active volcano in Guanacaste. In this area, you can observe impressive volcanic phenomena: steam rising from the ground, the smell of sulfur, natural fumaroles, and landscapes with yellowish and reddish tones.
During the hike along the Las Pailas circular trail (2.5 miles / 3.5 km), you will enjoy unique views of the volcano, geothermal activity, and spectacular natural richness. The park is home to 4 microclimates and more than 300 bird species, as well as armadillos, iguanas, coatis, white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, and spider monkeys.
